Warp is a modern, Rust-based terminal with AI built in so you and your team can build great software, faster.
Share your tech stack easily with this tool.
Check out the tool here 👉 www.brewfiles.com/
Share Brewfiles is an easy way for developers to share out their tech stack. We built this tool to help people discover packages more easily and make it fun to share out their own package lists.
If you’d like to try the tool out for yourself, just run `npx share-brewfiles` in your CLI. Or, check out the website.
This project is 100% open source.
Let’s make sharing out our packages more fun and social, while also providing opportunities to educate other developers on what tools might help their productivity. Please give the tool a try and let us know your feedback!

How We Built an App to Determine the Best CLI Tool
Переглядів 1,6 тис.Місяць тому
We ran a "CLI March Madness Bracket Challenge" for everyone on Twitter where you can rank your favourite CLI tool from best to worst. Here's how we built this game and how we used a mix of technologies like TypeScript, Astro and Drizzle in order to make it happen. If you are interested in giving it a try yourself, you can still run the command in your terminal! Try Warp now for FREE 👉 bit.ly/wa...

3 Things I Did to Learn Rust as a JavaScript Developer
Переглядів 11 тис.4 місяці тому
In today's video, I go over 3 things that I did as a JavaScript developer to learn Rust as fast as possible. We go over 3 steps: 1. The project I learned at the start to understand the features that Rust provides you. I iterate over this project 3 times to show new features of Rust and how it compares to JavaScript. 2. I show a couple of great Open Source repositories that show how complex Rust...

Not posix compliant
Accounts for a terminal! No thanks...
bro turned into Messi
reverse mode is really cool and useful. It's a feature I didn't know I needed, now that I've tried it, I don't think I can go back lol. It feels very ergonomic to be able to just look at the top of my monitor instead of the very bottom as well.
are they fu''ck, as if a JS dev can code Rust!
Good for them, I still look C++, Java, and C# for friendly in their syntax's. Hell, why they didn't preserved common reserved words? like const or function, and the object oriented related stuff...
i32 => should be from -2billion to 2billion and not -2 million to 2 million. Since 2^32 => is 4 billion.
how embarassing is it that your example of an easy to read pipeline is more complicated than the way it has been done for like 50 years
Looks like an awersome cli tool and I like that the cli does Not share my data with AI.
Ok I think nu shell might be fine for scripting but it looks like a nightmare for daily driving. Don't get me wrong - I detest how the unix shell family is made up of the dumbest decisions you could think of. Write me a posix sh if statement that checks whether the output of cat file.txt parsed as a number is equal to 42 (on your first try)
is it a superset of POSIX? If not, going to be a tough sell... literally decades of muscle memory in POSIX land
I subscribed because the thumbs up button went all sparkly, not because it's the best sales pitch for rust I've heard to date.
Harvesting data via login and tie it to the specific user. From the video the AI does not do anything new that autocomplete scripts do not do. You just want user data and charge for a function that is already present in other terminals without invasive AI. Companies like this can gargle my nuts all day.
"Easy to read pipelines" LOOOL
And guys that's how I lost all my friends 😅
Nice video, but there are no JavaScript devs running to Rust. 😂 JavaScript devs are running to TypeScript.
Great video but no more big face videos. All I see is ears and teeth from this girl.
Brilliant!
FYI there are no folders in *nix world
Concise but clear explanation❤😊
Ah! The magic of rust is beginning to unfold!
Ligatures, they're called ligatures
Nice video but inheritance and OOP is NOT a cumbersome feature..... we have interfaces (traits) that makes life easy as well. and composition is easier to handle , sure, but just cause other langs offer class inheritance doesn't make it inherently evil
no thnk
Can Cobol applications be easily retooled into Rust?
its all fun until the headset dies and the progress doesnt save 😭
Someone really needs to go back and understand what the video is supposed to be about, should we see your face, clip art or the actual tool you are showcasing?
Dude stop posting Shit content
worthless video
I used it for a few months, then went back to zsh.
Can Confirm.
lol just use bash zsh
Some of my customized keybindings for Neovim like Alt+A don't work on Warp
9: installs thefuck on your computer to avoid typo
httrack?
awesome, thank you so much
Htf uses proggy? The others if ur a wanna be sheep w no taste
Isovenka fonts only .
You know what makes you look like an actual programmer, Error in line 5034 when your program is only 100 lines
nethack? that is like THE best cli game
Bro is a nerd 😂😂😂
I have 26 tmux sessions and over 177 panes open. All with vim or my compiler
Your too close to the camera lady.
tmux + zsh + fzf
Hacknet is pretty cool as well
9 use linux
I was once avoiding warp as it is not open-source. But now I really need it everywhere. Love the UI and UX! The features are well thought and it is really well designed.
can't hear anything omg
Rust is amazing, but a lot of package documentation needs serious attention, especially ones that introduce breaking changes, but don't update their examples to reflect the changes.
You don't really use Vim or NeoVim, do you...
